A well-rounded curriculum provides grounding in the staples and more: anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, pathology, massage theory, Swedish massage, chair massage, deeper therapeutic techniques including acutouch and myofasical release, business skills, marketing, law, and ethics. At the same time, students develop their ability to engage intuitively with a client’s energy flow and facilitate healing that goes beyond the physical to encompass the entire physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual system.
In addition, students have the option of choosing an Eastern or Western Bodywork emphasis, exploring either the meridian system in the context of Chinese acu-theory or advanced Western therapeutic techniques. Both tracks emphasize the integration of body/mind/spirit. The two tracks are scheduled on different dates so that students can take both tracks if desired.
