Touching our clients is a powerful and healing intervention. Using our power skillfully within the therapeutic relationship is one of the most profound challenges we face in our professional lives today. We will together explore our relationship with power, along with mis-use and under-use of power within the therapeutic relationship.

Instructor Bio: Kathy Ginn

  Kathy Ginn has been a practicing massage therapist since 1991, specializing in body/mind interrelationship, oncology and Esalen massage. She is an NCBTMB Approved Provider who has been teaching ethics since 2001, both locally and nationally. Kathy serves on the AMTA Teacher Development committee and is a member of the Right Use of Power teacher’s guild—a group of passionate educators committed to the often fragile and dynamic area of ethics. She has completed advanced training in Hakomi--an experiential body-centered therapy. She is also a member of AMTA and the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy. Kathy brings her passion and heart into the learning environment.
