  This educational program explores the “basic” dynamics of the therapeutic relationship. Topics of discussion: codes and guidelines, law and legislation, roles and boundaries, sexual misconduct, informed consent, confidentiality, and standards of practice.

Instructor Bio: Kathy Kinn

  Kathy Ginn has been a practicing massage therapist since 1991, specializing in body/mind interrelationship, oncology and Esalen massage. She is an NCBTMB Approved Provider who has been teaching ethics since 2001, both locally and nationally. She is chairperson on the subcommittee with the NCB Ethics and Standards committee. Kathy is a member of the Right use of Power teacher’s guild—a group of passionate educators committed to the often fragile and dynamic area of ethics. She has completed advanced training in Hakomi--an experiential body-centered therapy. She is also a member of AMTA and the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy. Kathy brings her passion and heart into the learning environment.
